This section has been developed to assist residents in resolving their non-compliant items. In some cases we have provided instructions or suggestions and for others, we have provided local businesses where certain products can be purchased. Please note that all residents of Parkland are legally bound to these Guidelines and Fence Specifications through an irrevocable Restrictive Covenant attached to your property title.

It is also important to be aware that these inspections were performed from the street, so it is quite possible we have made an error in our assessment. For example, we may not be aware of which resident is the actual owner of the fence between two properties. If you feel you are compliant, we kindly ask that you review the architectural guidelines and fence specifications for certainty. If you are, then no further action on your part is required and we do apologize for this error. If you find that you are not in compliance, then please follow the instructions in the assessment letter we provided.

Fence Painting

We are trying to contact the painting company that paints common areas around Parkland on behalf of the Board to see if they would be interested in painting residential fences, and possibly offer a discount or a group rate if a number of residents got together.

Fence Design

There have been a number of questions from residents about fence design. Basically there are a few key areas that need attention. Please note the diagram below which converts millimetres to inches/feet.
